Becoming Blair or Serena.....

Calling all Gossip Girl fans.
Want to dress like Blair or Serena?

Now is your chance, as it has been announced that Warner Bros are teaming up with Juliet Corture to create a clothing line inspired by the likes of Blair & Serena.
The pieces will be very resonably priced ranging between $80 to $200, & will be stocked in Kitson, Saks 5th Avenue & Neiman Marcus (sadly only avalible in the US).

For me, the concept is brilliant.
Every girl/woman watches Gossip Girl, not only because of the storyline or the yummy guys (swoons at Ed Westwick & Chance Crawford) but because of the fashion. It is what Sex & the City was seven years ago. It is couture, designer packed & iconic. We lust over everything paraded across our screens each week & wish we could own something they wear.

But.....

From these pictures it looks a little cheap & tacky for me.
Not very Serna or Blair, more like Jenny Humpries. I would liked to have seen less skinny jeans & strippy tunics & more bright colours, sophisticated dresses, different prints, embelished blazers & 'IT' bags. I understand if you need to dial it down from what you see on screen to make it wearable for everyday, but taking small elements from each outfit & turning it into something us 'regular' folk can wear is easily achievable & for a good price, would sell very well.

Take a look for yourselves & tell me your thoughts?

Baby's First Steps In New York....

I am not a huge fan of Victoria Beckham.
Don't get me wrong her outfits are classic & well put together.
She is very polished.
I like some of her designs from her collections.
Her husband is GORGEOUS (until he opens his mouth! Sorry Becks!)
But there is just something TOO polished & posh about her that makes me just not a huge fan!

BUT.......

Harper Seven Beckham is gorgeous.

This week every paper I picked up, she was in it being shown the world of New York City & the world that her parents live in. Shopping in Prada, dressed in VB, Paraded down 5th Avenue with light bulbs flashing & paparazzi everywhere- Victoria must have been teaching her the fine art of public appearances & shopping.

Its is clearly visible that Victoria LOVES her daughter an incredible amount (as she is the daughter they have both craved for, for years) & who could not blame her, I AM IN LOVE WITH HARPER TOO ♥

Images found via google.com

Prediction: She will be a bigger fashion icon then Suri Cruise & will be a bigger star then her parents.

Watch this space!

21st....

Yes, this is a slightly overdue post (almost 3 weeks!) but nevertheless I still want to share this milestone with you all :)

Tuesday 9th August marked the coming of my 21st Birthday- the BIG 2 1, the time to start investing in some good wrinkle cream & start thinking seriously about life, relationships, work blah blah blah & the slight niggling feeling that you are no longer a teenager & you should start growing up. Just me? I thought so!

Anyways, your probably all thinking, cor I bet you had a messy one- downed a dozen Jagers, danced provocatively on a really sticky table in an extremely dark club & that the rest of the night was a complete blur of my best friend trying to order a burger from a puzzled looking Turkish guy, my other best friend tearing off her dress in the highstreet & insisting that we all must join her unless we all wanted to be abducted by silver men, an extremely incoherent conversation with a 60 year old taxi driver about the pro's & con's of wearing stiletto heels & another friend dry humping a very lucky wheelie bin in the darkness.

Thankfully none of this actually happened, as going out drinking till the early hours & not remembering what happened the previous night is not really my idea of fun. So instead of this thrilling account of events that could have happened on my 21st, I decided to settled for something slightly more casual & chilled out.

I had a garden party with my family, close friends & people who myself & my parents have known for years. There was no theme but I suppose you could say I used the influences of the countryside & nature around me to decorate the tables & garden. I framed various photo's of myself throughout the ages to act as center pieces for each table & next to it I laid 6 Lavender pieces with rose petals sprinkled around the table. & not forgetting to add a candle to add some ambiance! Also I literally threw a rug & many cushions on the grass near the stream so that people could catch some rays whilst sipping mojitos :)

The September Issue.....

All images from my copy of Elle Magazine

Yes I am slightly late in the whole 'Let's blog about a September Issue' post, however I am still going to do a short one regardless!

Elle is my FAVOURITE magazine & as a loyal subscriber, I wait at my letterbox around the beginning of the month for the postman to delivery my new issue. The September issues of fashion magazines are the most important issue of the whole year (we have all seen The September Issue with Anna Wintour shrewdly checking over the September Issue & changing many things)& sets the up & coming trends for the season. I love fashion photography & was slightly surprised to see Kristen Dunst on the front of this issue. However a side from the shock as always the issue was crammed with breath taking couture, beautiful models & brand new campaigns.

My favourite photo's of the issue

What is your favourite fashion magazine?

Ma Vacance Dans Le Francais......

Bonjour mes amies!
Ca va?

I have just returned from my family holiday in France (my parents have a slight obsession with the country!). My family & I generally go to France every summer (apart from last year when we stayed at home to sample the delights of England!)& we try to visit a different part of the country each time. However this year we visited the South-west of France, in the Charente Maritime region near Cognac which we have visited before. We stayed in the same farm house that we have rented three times before, which has a lovely rustic feel to it along with a private swimming pool! mega plus as the weather is hot & we all prefer to just lounge by a pool all day!

As well as chilling by the pool & me reading 8 books (!!??) we also visited many of the towns/cities within the region- Saint Jean D'Angely, (our nearest town to where we stayed) Saintes, La Rochelle, Rochefort & Angouleme to name a few. I love the french architecture, the wooden shutters on windows & the run down looking buildings just makes me feel like I'm looking at history.

Another plus I always find with France is how fresh all of their food is compared to this country, especially the fruit & veg. Yes I do have a slight obsession with food & yes I know I have said this before! Literally even if you walk into a supermarket regardless of the ranking of the supermarket, you are guaranteed fresh, homegrown fruit & veg that does not look like it has been cheaply processed & pumped with pesticides. I much prefer the look of crates of fruit & veg with maybe a hint of soil still left on them, rather then pre-packaged, cheap looking rubbish! England needs to take note here :)

Anyways all together it as a nice relaxing holiday & it was nice to spend time with my family, as with all of our busy lifestyles we don't really have time sometimes just to sit down & talk or play boardgames (which we did every night!)

So please sit back, relax, break out the popcorn & enjoy my holiday snaps.....
