And The Bride Wore McQueen ♥.......

She finally married her Prince.
Kate Middleton (now Princess Catherine of Cambridge) looked every inch like she had stepped out of a fairy tale as she made her way towards her fairy tale ending.

The Dress.
One of the most closest guarded secrets of fashion history, was of course designed by one of England's most iconic & most talented designers- Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. It was simply breathtaking- simple yet sophisticated, just like Kate. Vintage lace long sleeves, moving into a sweetheart neckline, with of course a two metre train. Topped off by a tiara borrowed from The Queen & leaf style earrings given as a gift from her parents, her transformation was complete.

For me I don't think anyone could have done a better job then Sarah Burton, the dress was exactly what I imagined Kate wearing & everything about it completely echoed the elements of British tradition & history, as well as staying true to everything McQueen is. Alexander McQueen would be extremely proud.

& Pippa in McQueen was utter sophistication, the cherry on the cake. Like Kate's dress, I loved the shape, the way it moved & of course the back detail. The Middleton's were BY FAR the best dressed royals at the wedding (did anyone see Princess Eugenie & Beatrice!?)

I am currently watching the wedding on BBC iPlayer & Youtube, whilst drinking a cup of Earl grey- I am gutted beyond words that I had to work & therefore missed the actually broadcasting of the wedding, if I had it my way I would have closed all shops & would be sitting in my best dress & hat, with a box of tissues super glued to my hand for the whole day. However this is not what happened, but I feel incredibly proud to be British today & love everything that this country stands for & the tradition/history that we have.

William & Kate, future King & Queen, you are perfection & we wish you a long & happy life together.

Much Love,
Elle
